For years, I didn't even know what a highlighter was besides something you would use in a classroom, let alone what it was actually used for! It wasn't until about two years or so ago that I realised how hyped people were getting over various highlighters and contour kits. I had seen so many "tumblr girls" and instagram accounts posting make-up tutorials using a highlighter so instantly I became curious and wanted my own. I started buying from high street brands such as sleek. I liked them, but didn't really understand the obsession. I then started to see more and more people starting to obsess over Benefits "high beam" and realised how much I wanted to try this one as it seemed like "the game changer".
The first time I used this I wasn't overly impressed. I'm not even gonna lie and say I knew how to use it like a pro because I didn't and I still don't. I now know how to apply it well enough and
I like wearing this on days where I am wearing minimal makeup for a slightly natural but shimmery look. Personally I think you need to be really careful when applying this because too much can make you look like you've had glitter thrown in your face and overpowers your whole look and too little can become unnoticeable. When applying I never brush this onto my face but instead create three little dots and carefully blend with my finger. I only ever apply this onto my cheek and brow bones as instructed since it can look too harsh on other highlighting areas. Not only is this product long lasting
on your face, but it is never ending in the bottle!

Overall I really love this product and would definitely recommend it. I'm also really looking forward to purchasing Benefits new "Dandelion shy beam" liquid highlighter!
